Shaw + Smith Scholarships
We are pleased to announce the next Shaw + Smith Scholarships will be launched in both Hong Kong and Singapore on July 1, 2019. We invite candidates from each country, working within the wine trade to submit their applications for consideration.
What do the winners receive?
The opportunity to join the Shaw + Smith team in the Adelaide Hills for harvest, where you will gain firsthand experience of a working winery, along with time spent in the vineyards and in depth regional and varietal tastings.
Following on from this, a quick trip south to Tasmania to visit the Tolpuddle Vineyard in the Coal River Valley.
Included:
Return airfares to Australia, domestic airfares, five nights of accomodation in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia, and two nights of accomodation in Hobart, Tasmania, plus all meals.
Who should apply?
People working in the wine trade, in either hospitality or retail environments, who would benefit from increasing their knowledge, understanding, (and love!) of Australian wine.
Past winners
The first scholarship recipients, Alan Tse of Hong Kong and Dexter Foo of Singapore, joined the team for a week during harvest in early March 2019, read more about their experience here.

Send an updated CV, along with no more than 200 words, or a video, outlining why you would like to be selected as a Shaw + Smith Scholar and how you feel the experience would benefit your career in wine.
